about us
United Propeller was formed in 1999 when two companies merged to form one – Condis International Ltd. and Cunningham Machine Inc. We still have original employees from both locations working for us and we have combined into one large family bringing decades of experience under one roof.
It is the people here at United Propeller that make all the difference. We all take pride in our workmanship and genuinely care about other employees and customers. We strive to get all expected work completed in a timely fashion so that, you the boater, can enjoy yourselves. We enjoy what we do, and it shows in the quality of service and repairs that we offer.
We service all of central and southern Ontario, including Orillia, Parry Sound, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Haliburton, Midland, Collingwood, Barrie and Toronto, Ontario. Please call for more information.

Dorothy
PARTNER
“Dort” is our head painter and paints everything from propellers to lower units. She enjoys baking and reading. She brings in treats to sweeten us up here at United Propeller – which we enjoy immensely. She has been involved with various positions here at United – even working in the office back in the Condis days.

Ray
SHOP FOREPERSON / CERTIFIED PROP SCAN TECHNICIAN / PARTNER
Ray is our Shop Foreperson and works in tandem with Amanda to Prop Scan standards. When you enter his shop, you never know if he’ll be hammering away at an inboard propeller, running a lathe in the machine shop, or prepping a lower unit for paint. He does an amazing job at keeping all the wheels in motion so that we can complete all tasks on time. He brings many years of experience to United Propeller and is always cheerful and stays positive no matter what is going on.

Kathy
Kathy started working for Cunningham Machine back in April of 1998 and merged into United Propeller. After a twelve year “maternity leave” she returned in March of 2015. Kathy will gladly provide you a quotation for your underwater gear or for the skeg that was damaged when your “friend/wife/dog” was driving the boat. Kathy works in the office, but you never know where you’ll find her- she might be taking photos of damaged underwater gear in the machine shop, getting a materials order from the propeller technicians or talking with customers at reception.

Josh K.
Josh is our Foreperson in the aluminum and stainless steel prop shop. When given a task, he performs it and you can always count on him. “The Mechanic” is a very capable worker and you never know if you’ll see him welding a lower unit, straightening a propeller or putting a satin finish on a stainless steel propeller. He is extremely fast on repairs as he thinks about the best way to go about repairs before he starts a job. Josh is a talented Propeller Technician and always makes you smile. As he recently became a proud father, he now has stories to tell about his own little guy and the funny things he gets up to.

Carlene
Carlene is our newest Welder / Propeller Technician. She is always willing to learn and comes to work with a smile – even on a Monday. “Sparky” has been welding for us for one year and is also learning all the other aspects of propeller repair. She loves horses and dogs and enjoys baking (and we enjoy when she brings in baked goods for our potlucks!).

Joe
Joe originally started working for Cunningham Machine back in August of 1998 and came to work for United Propeller and Machine in 1999 when Cunningham Machine and Condis International merged. “Big Joe” is our “go to guy” when it comes to shafting and all running gear that needs repair. He is extremely knowledgeable as he has been doing shafting for almost 20 years. He is very laid back and easy going and always willing to help in any way that he can.

Liz
Liz is our Head Driver. She is very precise when it comes to logging in propellers or giving receipts. She takes care to do a good job and takes pride in her work. She brings a ray of sunshine along with her wherever she goes and brightens even the gloomiest day with her wit and humor. She is a very special lady and we wouldn’t want to even think of a United Propeller without her in it. Liz enjoys spending time with her grandkids and swimming in her pool.

Cherry
Cherry handles our bookkeeping when she is not jet-setting around the world. It is not uncommon for her to be in England one month and Florida the next. She helps in all ways that she can – even taking over a route for a couple of weeks when needed and comes to work with a bounce in her step and a friendly attitude – not to mention that wonderful accent which she doesn’t think she has!

Amanda
GENERAL MANAGER / CERTIFIED PROP SCAN TECHNICIAN / PARTNER
Amanda, is our General Manager and works with Ray to Prop Scan standards. She has 20+ years of experience in the marine propeller and underwater “running gear” industry, and will gladly give advice on what to do with a propeller that you are having issues with. The more complex and difficult a propeller problem seems, the more she enjoys finding a solution. She oversees all at United Propeller and we strive to make her proud.

Reuben
Reuben started working for Condis International over 35 years ago and came to work for United Propeller when Condis merged with Cunningham Machine in 1999. There is no one out there with more aluminum and stainless steel experience than our “Ruby”. He is indeed the “Jewel” of United Propeller. He comes to work with a smile on his face and a song in his heart. He is always singing and dancing and is a pleasure to work with.

Josh F.
Josh is extremely intelligent and one of the best welders in the business. He has been working for United Propeller for over a decade. His specialty is welding and repairing inboard propellers. However, you never know what you will find “The Rocket” doing – anything from welding a fabricated strut to an aluminum door for a boat. He is very meticulous and talented. You never have to second guess the workmanship on anything that Josh has worked on as he seeks perfection in all that he does.

Stuart
Stuart is a very capable, proficient worker. He comes to work with a smile and a friendly attitude. He is consistent and is always eager to do a “job well done”. He is happy doing all aspects of propeller repair – from blasting, straightening, welding or grinding. He gives it his all and works hard from start to finish. He enjoys fishing and always has a “fishing story” to tell or will gladly let you know if the fish are biting.

Ethan
Ethan is our Propeller Technician in training. He sandblasts all of the propellers and the lower units that require a complete paint. He is willing to do anything and he does his best. He is learning all aspects of propeller repair as he enjoys working with his hands. He is an avid “gamer” and fisherman. There would not be a better day than fishing and gaming all day in Ethan’s opinion.

Terry
Terry has been working for United Propeller for quite a few years. You can usually find him working on castings. He handles most of our shipping and packages up all the items in the machine shop. He comes to work with a smile and is always ready for a laugh.

Rick
Rick is also one of our drivers. He comes from a law enforcement background and makes sure that we are all on the straight and narrow. He enjoys chatting over his radio to people in all parts of the world and spending time with his grandkids and his dog. He is friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Very seldom does he need more information than an address for extra stops on his run. Rick is a joy to work with and makes United Propeller a pleasure to work at.

Angus
Angus has been with United Propeller since September of 2016. He is our Head Greeter and he takes his job very seriously. He greets patrons and delivery drivers with a happy gait and a wagging tail, unless the sun is shining, and he cannot pry himself out of his warm bed. He is usually first to answer the door and can have a one-way conversation with just about anyone. He is very friendly and inspects (sniffs) the propellers and underwater gear that comes in for repair. Contrary to popular belief, Angus is not a Black Labrador. His mother Lucy is a purebred Foxhound and his father Lazlo is a purebred Vizsla making him a cross breed and he is indeed a wonderful mix!
